Would you follow me over to a new account?

And wow.. Pandora can't come up with any more than three songs for star trek. I was hoping for something more like the movie but all I get is first contact. What's up with that?

Anyone out there looking for something to do?

How about a comic anthology?
There might be a way to publish for free through amazon, otherwise I gotta go through some pricey printing mechanism and we split the cost.

May work better if everyone is from Minnesota! Haha.

Cover up! Noes!

I saw up today.

I also saw the preview for The Last Airbender. Not sure how to feel about it.

You can't make a movie about FBI rodents and have it be taken seriously. For Christs sakes you're making even the kids feel stupid!

And that's worth ranting about, isn't it? Kids shows? Kid's movies? I bet that if I had a better more intensive knowledge about the horrors of Disney Channel movies I I wouldn't even be able to count off the times a character started a food fight to spite the school bullies on either hand. (that includes spin off movies staring Disney Channel children: Mean Girls, Freaky Friday, those types of movie.) Lets see... I think Sky High had one. Pretty sure one of the sky kids had food flung once or twice... I don't know, never seen them, but I bet they had it. Enough with that! Why do we need to see the same scene over and over?

Why can't people write a movie for kids without getting caught up in the pop culture references? At least in Monsters Vs Aliens it was funny. I actually liked it then. The references were used primarily in action rather than dialogue which is great!

It's like the only good kids movies these days are animated. And that's sad. At the same time, UP was absolutely amazing. There was one scene in the movie where the entire theater was rendered silent, which was really remarkable as those kids behind us were quite vocal. Only Pixar, amirite?

Now, about those kids movies that people only buy so they can use to stupify and babysit their kids, (IE: the barbie movies, anything mainstream (that Chuhuahua movie), which I wish to god parents would stop doing... Is if the creators would just stop pretending to be proud of the shit they produced. I mean honestly, I grew up on batman the animated series and Don Bluth films. Remember how scary ass the T-rex from Land before time was when you're like, four years old? Or how about how sad An american tail was? I could take it, these brats, by god, can deal with a few shots of realism in their cartoons.

PS: Anything Don Bluth from the 90s until Titan AE can suck it. Rock-a-Doodle. I rest my case.

Rrr

Obviously my inherent bluntness rubs people the wrong way. At the very least I personally appreciate it when someone confronts me about concerns rather then letting it stew and get worse and worse. It happens with so many of my peers it's infuriating sometimes. It's very odd to find someone you feel you get along with swimingly is really rather left uncomfortable by your own behavior, even more so that they deal with it passive agressivly enough that you don't even notice. Especially after you give said persons fair warning.

"Hi, how are you? Btw, I'm fairly blunt, please take what I say with a grain of salt?"

I say that often, I let people know, a courtesy, really.

Whatever, it's just a rant, but it's something that's occurred in recent days that bugs me.

I with my generation would grow a spine or something and just say what's on their mind rather then beating around the bush.

Devious Journal Entry

Fri Jul 3, 2009, 10:05 PM
Okay, so I recently got into Legion of Superheroes, the animated series and the post Zero hour reboot(Gates!), and I was searching for art on DA.

I find this drawing of two characters, black hair, oddly enough they're wearing supermen costumes and Brainiac ... uh...6...costumes or some shit. At first I thought it was just a anime fan doing some sort of cosplay with OC's or self inserts because that I could understand, but no.

They're OC children of this pairing: SupermanxBrainiac5xSuperman X from the toon verse.

And Brainy is the mom.

...but Brainy is a robot.

I raise my concerns, rather enraged by this scientific atrocity, and pretty much get the same, sordid, cliche mpreg yaoi response, "don't like it, don't look at it."

Essentially, why the fuck can't fangirls just be true to the original source? Why do these brats need to make such horrible looking stuff, (second gen anime drawings) and not even consider the canon characterization? It's just so rutting stupid and it bugs me.
What's more is that it's so futile to reason with these people. It's okay to like Yaoi but the only time Mpreg ever made it into the public eye was Junior and we all know what a disaster that movie was.

I can't find any reason to make a male pregnant either. There's no real romance in it, is there?
